Megastar Chiranjeevi and director Bobby Kolli’s much-awaited collaboration has finally revealed its title and world. The title glimpse of #Mega158 / #ChiruBobby2 introduces Kaaka, promising a stylish action entertainer packed with mass moments and a distinctive setting. Produced by Venkat K Narayana under KVN Productions, the film is scheduled for a worldwide release on January 13, 2027, during the Sankranthi season.
The glimpse opens with Chiranjeevi as K Satyam, Supervisor, working in the aqua industry. He assures the Chennai team that the load will arrive on time before denying Sunil’s leave request, reminding him that their target is the festival. A lighter moment follows when Getup Srinu informs Satyam about the scooter keys given by his daughter. Chiranjeevi asks him to throw them, only for the keys to accidentally fall into the water. A dog then brings a remote, which Satyam uses to retrieve the keys with a magnet. The twist comes when guns emerge along with them, leading into the reveal of Chiranjeevi’s middle-aged character and the title Kaaka.
The glimpse then shifts to a flashback featuring a younger, stylish Chiranjeevi in a gun-firing sequence that delivers the film’s biggest mass moment. Bobby Kolli presents the Megastar in two contrasting avatars—the grounded middle-class Satyam and the younger, attitude-filled character—giving both versions a distinct personality. Chiranjeevi’s body language, swag and screen presence once again become the centre of the presentation.
Cinematographer Vijay Karthik Kannan gives the glimpse an immersive visual style, with the camera travelling alongside Satyam in the opening portions before transitioning into high-energy action frames. S Thaman’s background score adds to the intensity, while the remix of the iconic “Gang Gang” from Gang Leader brings a nostalgic touch to the proceedings.
Anaswara Rajan plays a pivotal role in the film. The technical team includes production designer Avinash Kolla, editor Antony L Ruben, and writers Kona Venkat, K Chakravarthy Reddy, Hari Mohana Krishna and Vineeth Potluri, with dialogues by Bhanu-Nandu.
The Kaaka title glimpse succeeds in establishing the film’s world, scale and mood while suggesting that Bobby Kolli is attempting a new characterisation for Chiranjeevi. With its stylish visuals, action, music and the Megastar’s unmistakable screen presence, the glimpse has raised expectations for the film’s Sankranthi 2027 release.
